The 29th of June brought me to Lyrath Estate Country House – Kilkenny to meet with Emma and Tommy on their wedding day. The celebrations were well underway as I joined Emma in her home and there was excitement in the air as we headed for The Church of Assumption, The Rower, Kilkenny.
Emma and Tommy were the pictures of happiness as they exchanged their vows and were quick to get into party mode at the Lyrath Estate in Kilkenny.

I have attended many weddings in Kilkenny and Lyrath Estate is one of my favourite wedding venues. The manor house of Lyrath Estate oozes old world character. The façade of the old house is covered in greenery and as the sun shone on this magnificent house, I knew that my camera would be very happy, no matter what direction I pointed the camera’s lens.
The arched windows and doorways framed the bride and groom beautifully as they arrived for the drinks reception and the impressive grounds created the perfect backdrop for the bridal party photographs.

I always encourage my brides and grooms to spend some time together on their wedding day to talk through all that has happened so far in the day and to enjoy some magic moments away from the crowd. Emma and Tommy enjoyed a walk together on the grounds of the Lyrath Estate and I was able to capture some fantastic photographs of them as they talked and laughed together. There are so many options to create wedding day photographs at Lyrath Estate. That is one of the reasons why I love this wedding venue so much! There’s a picture-perfect moment around every corner.

Emma had chosen some wildflowers in her bouquet and garlands for the bridesmaids to wear, so it seemed very fitting to take some of their wedding pictures out in mother nature. The sun shone for us and the grounds at Lyrath Estate are simply stunning.
As thoughts turned to the party we made our way to the stylish function room of Lyrath Estate in Kilkenny, where the drapery, centrepieces and fresh flowers all complimented the finishing touches that Emma had added to the tables. The room looked amazing!

It was a privilege to share in the celebrations with Emma, Tommy and all of their family and friends. They laughed and smiled all day long and they were a joy to photograph.
